Directed by Nimrod Antal, Armored is a 2009 movie starring Columbus Short and Matt Dillion. Other cast members include Jean Reno, Laurence Fishburne, Amaury Nolasco, Milo, Ventimiglia, Fred Ward, and Skeet Ulrich. The movie is produced by Joshua Donen, Dan Farah, and Sam Raimi. The thriller was written by James V. Simpson and marks his writing debut.
Its release is set for December 4, 2009 and has been rated pg-13. The movie was filmed in Los Angeles and will be distributed by Screen Gems.
Columbus Short plays Ty Hackett, a young armored truck guard who is short on money. He is asked to join a group of older guards who plan to steal one of their own trucks containing 42 million dollars.
The drama intensifies when the guards shoot a cop and Ty Hackett joins them. The climax involves Ty Hacket trapped in the armored truck with the cop.
The recently hired armored truck guard is forced to steal a truck holding 42 million when he witnesses their cover up plan to dynamite another one of their companies armored trucks before taking off with the real truck that has the 42 million. Complication arises when the cop is shot and the men had originally planned to hurt no one. But they can't afford to leave a witness. This was a great movie, im glad we could be the first to release it.
