2012, starring John Cusack, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Amanda Peet gives an inside view of the events surrounding the Mayan prophesy of the world's end.
What the ancients knew soon becomes reality for the twenty-first century, everywhere and for everyone. Director Roland Emmerich takes the viewer on an adventure as the planets align and the world falls into an endless string of cataclysmic disasters.
The known world drops into one of mass destruction and those left are in a race of survival of the fittest. Every kind of natural disaster that can oocur does, from volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and major floods. John Cusack's character is one of the few who listens to the warnings that are evident which others have largely ignored as he fights to keep his family alive. The warnings become all to clear as the events foretold begin to tumble into place like dominoes.
